New product: Outlook analysis 2.0

Apr 15, 2025

A deep-dive into Primer's enhanced 'Outlook analysis'

We're excited to announce a significant upgrade to our Outlook analysis, designed to deliver deeper, comparative insights without the manual cross-referencing.

Here's what it looks like in action:

What's enhanced in Outlook analysis 2.0?

Primer now leverages a more sophisticated understanding of company communications and market data, incorporating consensus numbers, and over a year of historical context from all primary source documents.

Here's what you can now expect:

1. Direct guidance vs consensus comparison:

The Outlook table now incorporates available market consensus data alongside company guidance.

A clear 'Beat/Miss' column, colour-coded for better ingestion, provides an instant snapshot of market alignment, even interpreting qualitative statements

2. Track guidance evolution over time:

No more digging through past reporting. The Outlook table visualises how guidance for the same forecast period has changed across different company updates.

See the progression clearly laid out, understanding the trajectory of management expectations.

3. Deeper contextual analysis with proof:

The 'Primer Analysis' section is now richer, reasoning over the company’s latest outlook in the context of both prior statements and market consensus.

Crucially, each point includes longer quotes and precise source references (e.g., "quote..." (Aug 2024 Slides)) providing transparent evidence for every insights

4. Enhanced clarity and transparency:

Tables are cleaner, using footnotes to explain any calculations (e.g., implied guidance ranges) for full transparency.

Primer reasons over both numbers and language to surface subtle but important changes in tone or emphasis.

Why this matters for your workflow?

This isn't just about summarising the latest guidance; it's about accelerating your understanding of change and context. Now you can:

Reduce manual work: Access comparisons that previously required manual cross-referencing of multiple documents and data sources.

Focus on material shifts: Quickly identify significant guidance changes, deviations from consensus, or evolving management narratives.

Analyse with confidence: Benefit from AI-driven analysis grounded in verifiable quotes and data, sourced directly from company materials across a longer timeframe.

React faster: Get actionable, comparative insights delivered to your inbox minutes after information becomes public.
