New feature - AI analysis of company filings

Jul 31, 2024

AI analysis of earnings filings for every company moments after they are announced.

Today we launch our latest product feature: AI analysis of company filings. We've developed a new filings-specific output based on the same rigorous approach we use for earnings calls.

Filings contain swathes of useful information, but they are long documents and the interesting detail can be scattered throughout, across tables and text. It's a time consuming and tedious exercise to comb through them, and the ROI on your time doesn't make sense for non-core companies, so you miss out on valuable insights and read-across.

With our latest update, you can now get automated AI insights for company filings delivered moments after they are announced, across every company you follow. What's more, by using AI we can deliver deeper analysis in a fraction of the time.

Powerful insights from historical context

Primer knows what has been said in previous filings and can factor this into its analysis, uncovering important subtle changes in outlook and sentiment.

Take a look at the extract below - you'll see how Primer uses the powerful linguistic abilities of LLMs to pick out a subtle change in language from "caution" to "cautiously optimistic", indicating management sentiment has improved. It also uses its ability to retain context from past filings to highlight changes in outlook.

Extraction of key quantitative metrics

Filings contain lots of valuable numbers and metrics, but they are scattered across the document in a mixture of tables and text. Primer does the trawling for you to find this data and group it in a way that makes sense for quick consumption.

Grouped into semantic sections

Insights are automatically grouped into three categories: financials, strategy and outlook, so you can process the information in a way that makes sense. As with our other outputs, you can move smoothly from a summary level down into the detail, going all the way back to the source document if required.
